Sally Hansen - Commander in Chic

Greige has become a bit of a winter classic for nails and I enjoy wearing it when this time of year rolls around.

Sally Hansen's Commander in Chic has been around for quite a while now and is very much the perfect greige.  Commander in Chic is a medium grey cream with warmth added by just a hint of brown so it doesn't give me 'dead' hands.   As I've found with all of my Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes, even though I wear them without a separate base coat this does still need a top coat for extra gloss but then it lasts an entire week without chipping.  This is two coats of colour with top coat.

All pictures taken in indirect daylight:

I'll always have a shade like this in my polish collection.

Sally Hansen polishes are available from Woolworths, K Mart, Target, Coles, Chemist Warehouse and Priceline stores around Australia.

  3. I LOVE THIS ONE... looks chic but the funny thing is I do not have one grey at all.

    1. Yeah, I think I prefer this over the Chanel version because it's just a little lighter and easier to wear!

  6. I have a few similar shades but always give this the longing glance while shopping in pharmacies! It's definitely a modern classic - good all year 'round.

    1. I can totally understand why it's in SH's core line - as I said to Emma I prefer it over Chanel Particuliere!

  7. Oh my goodness I love this colour it is just divine. I find Sally Hansen polishes take longer to dry than most and if you put on too much it dents really easily. Your nails are gorgeous!

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment!

I absolutely agree about the dry time - despite the all-in-one claim I find that I have to finish with a quick drying top coat or this polish takes too long to dry for busy old me. Once I've done that these polishes wear really well for an entire week :)
